Just heal like normal, but remember to use boon signet on yourself, and not someone else. You also have to use it every 5 seconds, so have quit access to the Target Self button

If you keep Channeling and Boon up, that is 4 mana every 5 seconds, which obviously is 16 mana every 20 seconds. Which is better then Edrain, 16 every 25 seconds minus 5 for casting. But you spend 3 more seconds casting, for only 132 HP of a heal.

Just a build I thought up while sitting on the john after watching people GvG with channeling monks. I had some fun with it

Boon sig takes too much time out of kiting and healing. Also casting a single signet every 5 seconds is easy stuff for a complicate mes or distracting ranger.

Yeah... Boon Signet looks great when you're just crunching numbers, but you'd have to be up against a pretty weak team if you can afford to spend that much time casting a signet. Most likely the extra energy you get would be more than lost by the inefficient playstyle it forces on you. At best. Even more likely you'd just get killed because no one amount of energy can make up for not kiting.

I ran it in RA and made 18 wins

Then made it in TA with 12.

But then again, that was only RA and TA.

But like I said: "I had some fun with it" I highly doubt it will go very far in GvG with the state Boonsignet is in

i had a little go at it in GvG while the ladders frozen, tbh the heal is so petty, you may as well stick with mantra of recall

Well Channeling is a weird skill to bring into GVG. I recomend totally against this skill. I can only think of one reason why Last pride ran this skill and its the wards. They plan to stay in the wards - particularly against stability since the knockdown from various sources is so powerful.

The reason why channeling is generally bad is that you dont want your monks in a position where its useful.

However Using Wards and having your monks stay there may be a reason ...

Campfire is now for PvE builds only. Moved to Gladiators.

Boon sig was the first elite I tested out after faction released. It has one major drawback: you need enchants... let me explain, and let me explain why it works in TA/RA and not in any other forms of PvP (with some exceptions).

To maintain your e-management you will need to spam boon sig around as much as possible. You should focus on enchanted targets to gain some energy. To make it really reliable (without running channeling) you should gain about 4-6 energy per cast, without that you can better start running traditional e-managements.

Problem with this is you will need 2-3 enchants on a target. As the OP states he suggest to cast it on yourself only, because with boon, PS and guardian you will have those enchants... TRUE!

But in TA/RA its you (assuming a 1 monk present) that is pressured almost contineously. So the healing, energy and enchants are on the right place: YOU.

When encountering some more strategic teams, they will ID boon sig and start pressuring a non enchanted target. This will result in a major screw of your e management. When using Shadow Shroud or Profane, your entire e-management will be screwed (because you cannot reaply enchants on the target)

Of course you can run Boon sig in a larger battle like HA/GvG, but you should build an enchant rich team around it.

I tested several options, incluiding a similar set-up you used and found out that in a "general" RA team (with a lot of "mending-Wammo's" around) it works pretty nice, because you are the one pressured most. The same holds in already limited amounts for TA.

I would certainly not recommend the skill in HA or GvG, you just run out of energy, leaving your boon sig healing the only healing you have...and that aint much.

...you can heal the person under atack then target yourself to use boon signet...the heal from boon signet is basically ignorable, your not using it for healing, your using it for energy.

-----------
I've done the numbers on boon signet and getting 6 energy a time (3 enchantments on yourself / party memeber) you get about a 4 second recast window before it becomes less efficient than MoR. Its actualy worth 3 pips of regen at 6 energy a shot and used imeadiately after it recharges...efficiency drops off quickly the longer you wait between recasts.

Just a small note: illusion of weakness (even at low att's) can fuel boon sig without prob.

anyway: I like boon sig in RA, TA or groups that use a order nec but it doesn't seems worth it in other teams/builds.
